At Maya Jade we take surfing beyond the sea: we have a surf skate track —an experience that is rare in Guatemala— designed to speed up the progress of beginner and intermediate surfers in a safe, fun and technical way.
Surf skate simulates the movement of surfing on asphalt. The track, inspired by the real sea conditions in front of Maya Jade (short, fast waves), includes bumping zones, transition curves and a bowl to practice drops and wave attacks. The lesson is open to guests and visitors, and includes gear, use of the track and a specialized instructor.
