Maya Jade's sport fishing is a true ocean expedition: we sail up to 50 miles offshore in search of sailfish, marlin and mahi-mahi. Fishing is unpredictable: some days bring 8 to 10 hook-ups and others are pure sailing and waiting.
By law and out of a commitment to conservation, sailfish and marlin are returned to the sea after a photo session. Mahi-mahi, jack, snapper or tuna can be taken back to the hotel, where the chef can prepare them. It is not uncommon to come across dolphins, turtles or whales in season.
